Interview with DancingSlave

DancingSlave is very cool and holds the distinction of not only being a model but also a huge fan of my work. When I first began posting my pinups on Myspace back in '06 she was one of the first to notice and almost always the first to comment. So it was only a matter of time before I did a pinup of her. Knowing what a huge hot rod fan I am she sent me pics of a 1946 Ford Pickup that she was thinking of buying and what emerged as a result, on the heels of Halloween, in November of '07 was "Slave's Flaming '46".

I made it available as a t-shirt design. Check out Kat from KattitudeGrafx rocking out in one.
I also licensed it to the psp tube community and she created a tag with the image as well.

In January of '09 DancingSlave once again became my inspiration for a pinup. Titled "Slave to the Pumps" it features the lovely Slave with an old Sinclair gas pump and a '57 BelAir for her 'Fin Fetish'.

What are your top 5 favorite bands? Pantera, Metallica, Pink Floyd, Zepplin, Stray Cats I like lots of different sounds!

What other pinups work do you admire OR who inspired you? Love the styles of Asia DeVinyl, Kay O'Hara, Bernie Dexter, Sabina Kelley, they all do great work! Dayna Delux is adorable! Kristabelle is a cutie too!!

What accessory can't you live without? Hmmm? Well, gotta have my mascara and my jewelry, does that count?

What is your favorite pre 1970 vehicle? My bad ass Cherry Red 64' Chevy El Camino... 'cause he's hot and he's mine! =)

What's your all time favorite movie? Forrest Gump... don't laugh!

What sage advice do you have to offer new models? You gotta have thick skin because people can be jerks, especially when they're hiding behind a computer monitor. Be who you are and be proud of it!

Do you have any tattoos? Nope.

How did you pick your stage name? Long story... I love to dance and years ago when I came online I started as dancingslave. It stuck and over the years my friends have shortened it to Slave. I've never changed it since day one even though people interpret it to mean many different things. Assumptions, right? ;)

List one thing people are surprised to learn about you? That I have a huge guitar collection and yes, I can play a little.
