Interview with Inkerbella In April of '09 I held the first Gerardi Girl Pinup Contest on MySpace. The premise was I've got this illustration of a '64 Nova done. Now I need a model to put in front of it. Inkerbella was the winner. The grand prize was a custom pinup portrait that would also be featured in my 2010 calendar. So I created the pinup that based on the name of the winner and the type of vehicle I titled "Bella Nova".
Bella loved the work so much that she used it as the splash page on her website. She is a very cool lady as well as continuing to be a very loyal and supportive fan of my work. You Rock Bella!
To see more of Inkerbella check out her website at www.inkerbella.com What
are your top 5 favorite bands? This is a hard one
to answer, I have so many bands I love music is a big part of my life....but
here you go...Red Hot Chilli Peppers, The Used, Elvis, Transers ( I was
in one of their music videos), Green Day. What
other pinups work do you admire OR who inspired you?
Bettie Page and Marilyn Monroe. They were amazing and strong women for
their time. The modeling world wouldn't be the same with out their influences.
What
accessory can't you live without?
Make Up for sure, My hair straightener, My Cell phone, My Ipod. What
is your favorite pre 1970 vehicle? 1930 Hubmobile
'S' Cabriolet. My Grandpa restored this car, and when I was a little girl
he came over to pick me up to go on a ride. There is nothing better than
a ride in the rumble seat! This was when I offically fell in love with
classic cars!
What's your all time favorite movie? I love Shirley
Temple movies. My favorite from her collection would be Captain January
and the Little Princess. I also love Gentlemen Prefer Blondes. What
sage advice do you have to offer new models?
Don't give up, follow your dreams!
Do you have any tattoos? Oh yes, yes I do!! :) Some
of them do have special meanings to me, some of them reflect on the time
in my life. My tattoos are a timeline for me of sorts. All my tattoos
have been done by my talented hubby Tattoo Jared. How
did you pick your stage name? Well, my Husband picked
it. Our Daughter loves Tinkerbell and one day we were talking about my
stage name and he said wow....your Inkerbella because of all your ink!
That was how Inkerbella was born. :) List one thing people are surprised to learn about you? That I have a full time job...funny right, but most people think that modeling is all I do. Actually modeling is my hobby and my artist way of expressing myself.
