Interview with Lorna Doone

Though we are both from the East Coast I actually met Lorna at Pinupalooza in Vegas where we hung out with the same group of people. Aside fom being a model Lorna is also a very talented photographer and I recall using a camera flash to help her light a shot. Her photo business is called Lornography. I did the pinup below "Lorna's '57" after being inspired by both her and her uncle's sweet '57 Chevy Bel Air.

What are your top 5 favorite bands? Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, TRex, Love and Rockets, Cocteau Twins and Nouvelle Vague.

What other pinups work do you admire OR who inspired you? Very inspired by Bunny Yeager's photography and Gil Elvgren's artwork! Love Dita Von Teese! I admire and adore Asia Devinyl, Scarlett Harlott and Kay O'Hara.

What accessory can't you live without? Big Sunglasses and Super Glossy Lipgloss!

What is your favorite pre 1970 vehicle? Volkswagen Karmann Ghia, it's the sweetest thing ever made with four wheels!

What's your all time favorite movie? OOoh... just one? Big Trouble In Little China!

What sage advice do you have to offer new models? Take the time to really study the classics... From Clara Bow to Bettie Page and Marilyn Monroe, and always have fun with what you are doing!

Do you have any tattoos? I have many, they are the visual stories of my life's heartbreaks and joys.

How did you pick your stage name? Born with it!

List one thing people are surprised to learn about you? My age... shhhhhh! (A lady never tells!)
